The company was founded by Carl Nellen and August Quack and is still run as a private independent company by the 5th generation of the Wienandts family. Imagination, entrepreneurial spirit and tradition form the successful path from a haulage business to a

Founding of
TGL Logistic Solutions

as an independent company for customer specific warehouse logistic services.

2010

Founding of Nellen & Quack Turkey Ltd. in Istanbul and an office in Bursa. In combination with TAN Cargo we now operate daily freight services between northern and southern parts of Germany and Turkey.


2007

Acquisition of TAN Cargo

TAN Cargo located near Stuttgart is specialisised on road freight services to and from Turkey and Eastern Europe. For Nellen & Quack - THE GREEN LINE TAN Cargo is the basis for the distribution of cargo in south of Germany an Europe.

Our new office building

The open spaced two-storey building provides an airy and bright working environment. We have created an atmosphere that encourages communication and team spirit.

2005

Opening of a multi-functional high stacked warehouse

…with the latest technology and space for 22,000 pallets.


2005

Axel Wienandts takes the lead

Axel Wienandts becomes the sole Managing Director. The responsibility for the company has been handed over to the 5th generation of the Wienandts family.


2001

Nellen & Quack become Associates “International Logisitcs Network”

ILN is a union of currently more than 90 middle sized European forwarding companies, who consolidate and transport goods through a European network. Within this network, we guarantee a reliable just-in-time distribution like the major companies, yet we stay private and independent. For our customers, this means flexibility, faster decisions and reliability.


1994

Nellen & Quack takes to the air

“Faster, higher and further” – customer requirements also rise. Nellen & Quack extend its range of road and sea freight to include air freight services.


1995

Warehousing expands

Nellen & Quack builds a new 1,250 sqm warehouse on their own European Terminal, which meets all the requirements for hazardous goods.


1989: The Centenary

“It was the entrepreneurial initiative, the courage to take risks and expert knowledge, coupled with a vision, that have in 100 years transformed and remoulded the company, making them bigger, yet still adapting to the ever changing requirements of the market” – Bernhardt Bünck, President of the German Association of Forwarding and Warehousing, describing the business achievements of the Wienandts family during the company´s celebrations.


1988

Axel Wienandts joins the company

Axel Wienandts first joined Nellen & Quack as an apprentice and completed business administration studies at the German Business Scholl for Foreign Trade in 1984. As well as having various job experiences within the trade, in both Germany and abroad, Axel Wienandts brings this knowledge with him as he joins the company in 1988. In 1992 he steps up into the Management.


1984

Warehouse capacity of 30,000 sqm

Providing centralised storage facilities for customers from all over the world is an important business sector. Our overseas customers make use of our Europe Terminal as a point of distribution for the whole of Europe. The need for storage space grows continuosly, with the completion of the 18th warehouse, the total storage space reaches 30,000 sqm.
